Show Reindeer
These reindeer are our castrated males who sport stunning sets of antlers every winter. Ranging from three to six years old, these boys are our most tame residents and are the reindeer that we take out to shows at Christmas time. They visit shopping centres, high streets, schools and we even walk them down the corridors of hospitals, hospices and nursing homes.A number of our show reindeer have been used for television and films over the years, the most recent being ALL the reindeer in ‘Get Santa’.Not only did we provide all of Santa’s reindeer – but ‘stunt’ doubles too! Combo was the star of the show, you can see him walking across London Bridge with Rafe Spall. Our Reindeer also stole the show on the red carpet with Warwick Davies and other stars of the film.
We only have a handful of bulls as their sole purpose is to cover the female reindeer for breeding purposes. These males go through the natural reindeer season so their testosterone levels peak in September, a season that is called rutting. They can be quite aggressive at this time as they demonstrate their dominance to the other reindeer. Once this season is over they lose their antlers, a process called dropping, so are often without antlers at Christmas time

Our Cows
We have a number of cows (female reindeer) who live a relatively easy life as their only role is to have babies every year! The cows are covered by the bulls during the rutting season and hopefully, by May they deliver a healthy calf. Over the years we have developed a successful breeding programme and now boast four generations of reindeer who have been born
The Sleigh-pullers
Our strongest and biggest reindeer have one of the most important jobs at pulling our traditional Scandinavian sleighs every Christmas so that our visitors can have a truly unique and magical experience. This isn’t an easy job to do but these reindeer are specially trained for the task, which their ancestors have been doing for thousands of years.
Our Baby Reindeer
Every year a number of baby reindeer (calves) are born .All the calves will no doubt be big attractions at Christmas as we are one of the very few places in the country where you can see reindeer calves in their home environment.
